10 Great Ways to Organize Your Tiny Closet - Fictitious Fashion

Hey guys

Having little space in you apartment is something that could either bother you and make you feel prisoned, or make you become creative and find the better ways to use even that tiny corner of your room. However, for a woman, space can be a problem when it comes to organizing their clothes and shoes.

Ladies, I know, believe me. You don’t need to worry about the little space of your tiny closet anymore! I decided to find and gather in one place, the best 10 hacks and tips for you, to help you put your clothes in one place and organize them so good that you will still be able to see everything you have with just one look!

1) Count them all
First of all, you need to determine the number of your clothes in different categories. Find out how many pairs of pants you have, how many dresses, etc. This will help you to know how many things you have to leave hanging in your closet. The same rule applies for the items you decide to leave folded. You have to use that knowledge when buying a closet, or when you need to change it.

2) Seasonal categorisation
Now, you need to decide which clothes belong to a different season and put them away. Stack them in a trunk, or in a cupboard, because you won’t be wearing tank tops in the winter or coats in the summer. Excessive number of clothes hanging is the reason to be harder to find exactly what you are looking for.

3) Get to the floor!
The next step of the re-organizing your tiny closet is to use its floor. There is enough space to put your shoes, for example. You can use the space for the shoes you wear less, or those for the different seasons.

4) Let it be high
If you have more hangers, higher in your closet, it is not a problem, even if you find it hard to reach and clean them. The best you can do in this case is to adapt a little stool that will give you the desired height and you will be able to reach the highest parts of your closet which will make them easier for cleaning.

5) Room in doors
Your closet, the tiny it is, probably has at least doors. This is great, because you can use the space for hanging clothes there, too, or shoes maybe. You can store your scarves, or hats, or any other kind of accessory on your door – simple as that, and practical at the same time!

6) Boxes and divisions
Another great way to put your folded clothing items is to insert little organizers. For example, you can use old shoe boxes to put those clothes in them. The other way is to divide a shelf in a few separate divisions and put the clothes there.

7) Type of hanger
The next thing you can do is inserting double hang. This provides you with two times the space you initially had. You can now hang all of the clothes and organize them by colors or however you want.

8) Ring hangers
Another great idea for your scarves is to put them on a hanger, but put each one in a shower curtain ring and place the rings on the hanger!

9) Tank it on Tie hanger
Here is a tip for your tank tops. Get yourself a tie hanger and hang your tank tops on it by their straps. You don’t need to hang them separately.

10) Hooks and more hooks
If you are used to decide what to wear on the next day the night previous, you can put a hook on the door. This method can be also used to hang bags, if you put more hooks.

I hope this won't happen now!

New Year Nail Art + Some Inspiration

Hello Sweethearts

Just three more days and it will be 2013. How many of you believed that World is Really GOING TO END? Be honest :D. Frankly I didn't pay any heed to the rumor, what so ever! So any which ways; we are ALIVE and Living, right? ^_^

So for the year that is going to come, 2013, I've done this cute nail art which I hope everyone likes. Even after the failed resolutions, let one thing be assured- A colorful start to New Year. As 31st December, 2012  and January 1,2013 would never come let's make this a memorable few hours of our lives :) Take a look at my Nail art!

Do you like it? Let me know with your comments below :)

I'd also like to write something here- Mr. A (I hope you remember him ;) ) said a few days back-

Let's not Discuss relationships, Let's Live Relationships

Have you ever wondered that we are so caught up in life's rat-trap that we have forgotten to LIVE and just continue making A LIVING. We talk about relationships- what's going wrong, blame & hurt each other, find solutions to problems and when the most important thing we must be doing is Living the relationship! I'm not talking just about a partner/spouse relationship but friends and family as well.

Next time when you are in a situation when you are not able to find a solution or are about to give up and don't want to please anyone anymore then just remember this- You don't have to continue this.
Just divert your mind with some songs, cooking, dance, movies or anything you like and then do things which both of you (friends, family, boyfriend/girlfriend) love! Make plans, go out, enjoy and have fun. Don't feel obligated to do anything which your conscious doesn't permit you of!
You don't like anything? Say it.. If someone doesn't like you they would say it, if they don't then it's not your problem to worry about them! Love yourself, be yourself and enjoy with people you love.

Forget everything and start living in all forms of life! Enjoy to the fullest and do what you always wanted to do. Don't think, do it :)

These are some of the virtues and lessons that would never die. I hope that you liked reading this LAST post of 2012 and got inspired a little.
I want to THANK each and everyone of you for reading my blog and for all the love you shared in 2012. Whatever be my resolution and however tough life gets, I'll NEVER STOP BLOGGING! This is one of my Life's Resolutions. What about you? Share below :)

Keep Enjoying

Happy New Year. Love you 2012
Love you more 2013 ;)
Have a great year ahead from Fictitious Fashion <3

DIY: Rose from a Ribbon

Hello my sweetypies.. How have you been?
My Exams are over for now.. Yipppeeee..

Thank you all of you for your kind and generous wishes while I was gone.. I can just say I love You all :)

As a token of my Love.. I'll do a DIY post today :)

All of us know that girls are super crazyyyyyyy.. ~ Heyyy.. In a good sense.. They are crazy about things they love and can go extra miles to make their loved ones happy :)

So today, I bring to you something that can help you make your gifts personalized and your dresses & accessories look even more worth-wearing.. Cos it has a touch of you :)

HOW TO MAKE A ROSE/FLOWER USING A RIBBON

You will need :

A ribbon (I have used a satin)
A florist's tape or a wire

Google

1. Keep the dull surface of the ribbon facing upwards- You can take any length depending upon how big you want your flower to be.

2. From the end, fold it at right angle and press to form a crease.

3. Now, keep on folding from the crease till you get something like a 'cone'. Make a crease.

4. Fold more, along the ribbon ( 2-3 folds), to cover the 'cone'.
If it's your first time in something creative then you can probably seal this step with a stapler so that it doesn't open up in the middle!

5 and 6. Continue folding if you're not satisfied with the thickness of the bud!

7 and 8. This is the tricky part- Hold the bud in one hand while the rest of the ribbon in the other. Frame shift the ribbon or leave a gap between bud and ribbon. (See the picture)

9. WIth your left heand just fold the ribbon at 45 degrees on the outside.

10. This picture shows you how the fold will look from the back.

11. Turn the rose a bit and then again fold the ribbon at 45 degrees on the outside..

12. Keep turning and rotating the rose.. IF you want a bigger flower.. turn-flip-turn-flip.
If a smaller flower then turn- flip-flip- turn-flip-flip..

See pictures 13. and 14.

NOTE: you can secure the flower at any point with a stapler!

15. Secure your flower by tying the rest of the ribbon around the stem.

16. I have tied the green Florist's tape or a wire!!

And voila! You are ready to wear it over your blazer, hat, bag, necklace or even headband.. Guess what, I used it on my heels.. See the below picture.. I used 2 colors for it.. Just stitched them together :)

First DIY and I'm 50!

Bonjour :)
I am very excited to tell you that my blog has crossed the '50' landmark. Actually it's 60 and I'm late but still, yippee :D I want to thank all my lovely followers who have inspired me to stay connected and display my style to the best! Thank you :-*

Now, the 2nd reason to celebrate is that today, I'm gonna post my first DIY ( Do it yourself). This post has been lingering on for a while but not now. I will show you How to Fish-tail Braid.
I am sharing this post with one of my awesomest follower Frills & Thrills by Sam. I did a guest post for her. Isn't her blog amazing? I love it!

So lets get started <3
Make sure your hair is not in layers ( like me) and if they are then they should be of a considerable length.
You need : 2 rubber bands, comb and some fun tic-tacs.

1. For beginners, I'd recommend a side pony tail. Tie it tightly.

2. Divide and hold your hair into two equal parts, say A and B.

3. Now this step is crucial. Take a thin strand of your hair from the end of one of the halves, say A.
4. Move it to the other half of hair, i.e. B and make it tight.
 5. Now, take a thin strand of your hair from the end of the other half, B.
6. Take it to the first half, A.
You have your first Fish tail cross!

7. Similarly, take a thin strand of your hair from A move it to B.
8. Also, take a thin strand of your hair from B, move it to A.

Repeat the above steps till you reach the bottom of your hair.

Voila. Your cute Fish-tail braid is ready :)

You can decorate your hair with tic-tacs or cute rubber-bands

You have seen this picture in my post Black and Braid

I prefer a casual braid. If you want a firm and more elegant one then just make a space; a hole, in your hair: from the place where you started braiding. Take your braid from outside and then inside the hole. It would be tighter! Also, you could apply some hair spray to settle down small hair.

I hope you liked my First DIY. Suggestions to improve this post are most welcome.

I want to thank Sam for letting me do a guest post in her fabulous blog. <3

Keep visiting for more DIY nail tutorials :)
Don't forget to follow me on Facebook. You would find a like tab at the starting of the page left. I'd love to follow you there too :) Thank you <3

Until then
Be  stylish, Be You!
