The Blue Lagoon: Singapore

Hey all

This post is the last to my Singapore series. You can look at Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3 posts by clicking on the above links. On my last day in Singapore, I wore this pleasant blue lace romper. Keeping in mind that we were to spend the day among birds and frolic on Orchard street.

Talking about Orchard street: sure it's big with plethora of brands, clean and beautiful yet I didn't find it reasonable on the pocket or anything that you wouldn't find it in any part of the country. Nevertheless, I found these amazing pair of shoes which I wear almost every day now! Little heavy on the pocket but I didn't want to leave Singapore empty-handed. Also, a thing about Chinatown- It's gorgeous at night and is a bit up-scaled in terms of 'flee market' and I loved every bit of the view. The collection at shops, the lights, crowd, food and the fruit market as well! Must visit is Little India if you miss Indian food while in Singapore. People also say that the Mustafa market of Singapore is a 'must-visit place' but I beg to disagree. It's your ordinary supermarket where you would find Indian faces, buying Indian groceries and nothing else. But still if you may, go to this familiar place if you are missing some relation :)

The main attraction of the day was Jurong Bird Park. It was beautiful, magical and relaxing. Just what I needed on the last day! Take a note of the bird shows before going since you don't wanna miss the fun it is! I mean really fun! Otherwise it is your normal bird zoo with a long walk. You can make a nice family day of it if nothing else :)

Enjoy the pictures!

New Year in Burgundy

I'm so excited to be celebrating this year with family (after 2 years in Mumbai). Actually, I'm excited when it comes to 'celebration' and/or 'family'.

"Anyway, this year is no different than previous years nor is this day any different from yesterday."
Do not appreciate such people who say the above line. I mean, every day is something to celebrate about and there's no harm in dedicating one day to something- Mother's, father's, love or friendship.
Agreed that all of those things are eternal and you don't need to dedicate a day for them but hey, if that's the case: I'd appreciate it if you don't celebrate your birthday or anniversaries then. Celebrate mother's day on your mother's birthday (or your birthday to be technically correct) for all I care; but don't crib if somebody wants to celebrates it.

Phew! I went overboard, didn't I? Let's fill this space with positivity and love now. I'm going to start Cassey's #28dayChallenge: not cos it's New Year but that's the time when it's coming. If you don't know who Cassey is then google Blogilates and that's what I've been doing for an year now. She has made me fall in love with my body, be healthy and basically enjoy my workouts. I feel guilty if I don't do pilates in the morning (Yes, I'm a morning person). I'm super energized to workout even when I'm sick. I'm a kind of person who finds happiness even in small things and tries to finds happiness in each day. There are days when I don't have anything to be happy about and Pilates come to rescue. *Feel good hormones*, welcome :)

Here is my New Year's outfit. Now that my wardrobe is essentially complete (but one-mustard) with this burgundy overcoat; I'm wearing it every week now. This cozy muffin is so warm; so soft and not to mention, so huge for my size that I don't require any outfit underneath ;) This burgundy overcoat is from dressystar who have some excellent overcoat choices. Enjoy the rest of the post and let me know how you find my new coat ^_^

Suit up!

Hello Winter :)

Winter has finally set foot in Delhi and I'm not as happy as I look in below pictures. Firstly, it's winter! Secondly, smog (One of the reasons Delhi has been in news recently) then it's so friggin' cold :X I mean come on!!! So much of hairfall, static charge in the atmosphere, swollen fingers, getting up in the morning to start my day by exercising: I mean, you don't even sweat!
Okay, I'll stop coming out to be as a negative person and be the happy idiot I am :)

So these shoes came a few days back and it fits! It's such a relief when the order is exactly what you'd hoped for. I'm yet to figure out how often and with which type of outfit to wear them since they are white and look formal. Nevertheless, white is right!

I'm so thankful to the kind people of Zaful. Their products are so good, reliable and unique that you just cannot stop at one! Check out their bags (especially), shoes and dresses: you'd know what I'm talking about.

Being Americano: Denim shirt & Bandana

Hey all

Fancy this. I finally got something of America and I'd like to think of it as a gift from New York ;)

I've been in an experiment-mode as you might have seen with my color choices here and palazoo pants with layering here. This time I tried mixing two big trends that are coming back- Denim shirt and Bandana.

The lazy denim shirt look- wow! I've to admit. Fashion bloggers and divas who were loving this trend (when I was living under a rock) are very much right about it- the most comfortable and chicest trend so far. There are more than billion ways to wear a denim shirt and this is how I wore since it's a tad too big for me.

The Bandana love- There are many ways to tie a bandana and the most easiest is a knot and drop. I tied it from behind in the form of a bow so it's tail is doing a peek-a-bo(w) from behind.

Here's how to wear a  bandana on head.

Enjoy more pictures of this look
