My Birthday Picks: Rosegal

My Birthday month is fast approaching!

I'm so excited for my Birthday this time. August is without a doubt my favorite month of the year. So many colors in sight, good weather, long weekends (15th Aug is Independence day in India :)) and so many weddings/parties to attend to. So picking the perfect outfit is very important for me since this is the period of Sales & fresh arrivals come one week before my birthday. It's now or never, it seems? ;)

This time I'm thinking of a maxi dress or an dress shoulder off. The thing about off-shoulder outfits is, they look great on about anybody if worn right. If you are petite then go ahead and wear one without thinking. Just make sure the rim rests tightly on you. If you are chest heavy then pick one with high off-shoulder neck. This way you can draw your attention towards your neck. I really enjoy getting all dressy and celebrating with friends & family: good food, music and just rocking through the night. This month I suppose, we'd be celebrating with friends a day before, lunch with family on D-Day and then going for a trip with friends somewhere in Udaipur. Let's hope it all turns out for the best. Traveling is truly an addiction which only energizes & repays you well.

Talking about addictions, there's another style, I can't seem to get over with; sequins! It grabbed my attention when Serena wore the sequin dress in the first episode of Gossip Girl. I'm thinking of this top with black leather shorts, do you like it? I'll pair it with my black sequins clutch from my previous post and black lace pumps.

For jewelry, I believe less is REALLY more if your outfit is that flashy or you have an agenda to attract attention to a particular part of body like neck, shoulders, etc. But certain occasions demand you not go empty handed. I like to then wear, a simple bracelet like the one below. It's so simple, elegant and totally boasts my personality. Jewelry is really personal to me and I don't wear it for the sake of it. It should either be particularly required with the outfit or mean something to me ^_^

Another one of my favorite trends is pink flower dresses. Internet is flooded with these cutesies and you just cannot have your favorites ready. I'd wear with with nude accessories.

What is your favorite from Rosegal?

Years to LookBack

It's been 5 years since I've started blogging and the journey has been quite amazing. This isn't a 'blogging-has-taught-me-so-much' moment, although it did! But, I just wanted to look back at all the fabulous pictures and tried to recall the fun I had during the photoshoot. So in this post I'll be sharing the amazing moments and what I love about that outfit :)

Sit back and relax!

The first time I wore a lipstick. Gosh! I was so nervous as I know nothing about makeup, the right shade or even to wear one but, I did it anyway. It's about feeling good right? So I felt.

I did the basic white and black look here and completed it with two different accessories- a hat and a floral headband.

This was a very sunny day and I sort of regretted wearing those pants (not mine!) so I said to myself, 'Hey! Why not try something new' and so I tied my favorite scarf and voila!

You'd see this sling bag in so many posts. This is undoubtedly one of my favorite bags. It is stylish, light and so useful to carry on a day-out, date or a party.

I asked my friend who is a photographer, to click some nice pictures for my shopping haul. We went out to Carter road, Bandra and had a blast while shooting it; never-mind the sun!

My favorite thing about this outfit was the blue canvas shoes. They are my brother's but I gave a twist to it by going lace-less ;)

Goa is so much fun with friends! We danced to Lean On, partied under the stars, sun-bathed at Candolim beach and kept ourselves hydrated with watermelon & kiwi juices!

I finally found a reason to wear crop tops and my leather shorts (in India). I had worked so hard to prepare a toned body for Goa and the results were truly fruitful.

This outfit is again from Goa Diaries. The sun was upon us but hey, it's always great for photoshoots!

I hadn't wore this magnificent dress for like-ever. With my body in shape and at the right place, I took out my floral headband and let my hair down. It felt so airy and light in this piece of maxi-dress.

My last academic farewell was so emotional and fun-filled. Click on the picture above to read more :)

I'd have to say, I had not gained as much as eye-balls 'in college' as I did that day when I wore this nude-colored elegant piece of jumpsuit. My first, yes!

At last, the bidding goodbye to Mumbai pose. This picture was taken at Worli Sea Face. I loved everything about that day, the weather, fresh air and my natural waves.

I have to admit, I have so many blues but this kind of blue sets my mood high: such a paradox! This romper glides over my skin so well and the lacework is just so splendid.

I love to organize my photo albums with nice and customized designs. Look how I created my own lookbook for Social Print Studio's custom photo books.

Waiting for your views.

Pink Maxi Dress

Hello Beautiful People

Here's Day 2 from my Trip to Goa. We reached so late on our first day that we just visited Calangute  beach. Let me tell you (if I haven't said enough) that Goa's beaches are so Amazing!

I had saved this dress for THREE YEARS to wear for THIS TRIP! I had always dreamed of going to Goa with my friends and ever since I bought this dress, I had one thing in mind- #Floral. That's right. You know how much I love this Tiara which I also wore with Red Lipstick (my first) in my post titled Red Ridding Hood.

We visited Fort Aguada on Day 2. The view was breathtaking.
Enjoy!

Floral Frenzy

Hello Lovelies
I'm so excited to be back here.

As I mentioned on blog, today I'm going to announce something big but before that, new OOTD :D

Now this lovely floral blouse I received from DressLily.

It's no secret how big a fan I am, of floral prints but this blouse caught my attention as soon as I saw it on their website.

Three things I loved about this White floral blouse

--> It's White- White is my go-to color this season. I picked another white ensemble from Zara this weekend: would show in subsequent posts.
--> Subtle colors- Girls love pastels more than anything.
--> Not over the board- Now mostly we see prints that cover the entire clothing but this was reserved for one-third of the shirt and I loved it!

Paired it with a dark peach pair of pants from Madame.

Now I'm not one to remain subtle elsewhere. The result? Tangerine sling bag and moccasins.

This gorgeous Necklace is from Romwe and the cute blue bow elastic is from DressLily

More pictures..

More rubber-bands from Dresslily

Did you like my outfit? Can't wait to hear your thoughts

Now for the News.. I'm moving to Mumbai for Higher studies. Yippee for new life. This doesn't mean that I'd forget this dear blog and new guys. I would post regularly but pardon me if outfit posts come less often. I'd have to find someone to click pictures but till then I'd try my best :D
Need luck and wishes <3

Take care
